Frequently Asked Questions

Are you a therapist or mental health clinician?

No — I’m not a therapist, psychologist, or mental health clinician. I’m a certified Life Coach, Master Practitioner in CBT & NLP, and I can deliver accredited training in the QNUK Level 3 Award in Mental Health at Work. My coaching programmes are designed to support personal growth, build resilience, and provide tools for managing everyday stress and anxiety. I do not offer clinical diagnoses or treatment plans.

Do you provide therapy or clinical counselling?

No. I do not provide therapy or clinical counselling services. My work focuses on coaching conversations, guidance, and strategies that are future-focused and solution-oriented. If you are in need of therapy or clinical support, I encourage you to speak with your GP or a registered mental health professional.

What is the difference between coaching and therapy?

Therapy often focuses on diagnosing and treating mental health conditions, healing from past trauma, and working through complex emotional challenges.
Coaching is different — it’s about helping you build tools for everyday life, setting goals, improving confidence, and managing day-to-day stress and anxiety in a practical way. Coaching looks forward, not backwards.

What kind of anxiety support do you offer?

I offer non-clinical, practical support for general feelings of anxiety, overwhelm, and stress. Through coaching techniques, including elements of CBT and NLP (as a certified Master Practitioner), and mindfulness strategies, I help you understand anxiety triggers and develop strategies to build daily resilience. Please note: this is not a replacement for therapy or medical treatment.

Is the CBT you use the same as clinical CBT?

No — while I am a certified Master Practitioner in CBT, the techniques I use are coaching-based and not clinical. They are practical tools and exercises inspired by CBT principles to help manage everyday thoughts and behaviours. If you require structured clinical CBT therapy, I recommend speaking with a licensed mental health professional.

Can you help if I’m in crisis?

Yes — if you are experiencing thoughts of suicide or find yourself in deep emotional distress, I am trained in suicide intervention and hold certifications in LivingWorks ASIST, as well as delivering my own AIM (Applied Intervention Methods) training.
During our sessions, I can help you create a safety plan, explore immediate supports, and have an open, compassionate conversation about what you’re facing.

However, it’s important to know: I am not a 24/7 crisis service, and I do not provide emergency response outside of our scheduled sessions. If you need urgent or immediate help, please contact emergency services or a crisis helpline in your area. Your safety is the priority.

Do you work with men only?

While my core programmes are designed for men’s mental health and resilience, I do offer coaching for anyone who feels my approach is a good fit for them. Everyone is welcome to enquire.

How are your coaching sessions delivered?

Sessions are delivered online via video call, making them accessible wherever you are. I also offer voice note check-ins and email support between sessions to keep you motivated and accountable.

Is coaching confidential?

Yes — all coaching sessions are private and confidential. I provide a safe, non-judgemental space for you to talk openly. The only exception is if I believe there is a serious risk of harm to you or someone else, in which case I am obliged to follow safeguarding procedures.

What’s your refund and cancellation policy?

I believe in clear, upfront communication. You can find full details of my policies on the Terms & Conditions page In short: I require at least 24 hours' notice for session cancellations. Refunds are not offered once a coaching programme has begun.

How do I know if your coaching is right for me?

The best way is to book a free, no-obligation discovery call. We’ll chat about what you’re looking for, and I’ll be honest about whether I can help. If I feel you’d be better supported by a different professional, I will always say so.
